The supposed "good" sketches people talk about are like 1/8 of the current content. And even that's being generous. It's especially obvious when the sketch is centered around a super niche reference that barely anyone outside of a targeted demographic or certain age range would know...and it drags on for 10 more minutes. Like when the applause is barely a clap and a handful of jokes bomb in succession, you would think they would get the message and wrap the shit up sooner. Get the fucking hook. Nope, they gotta drag it out because someone's getting paid and contractually demands the airtime. The show's way too commercial now and the comedians predictably deadpan on camera because they have to conform to squeaky-clean politically approved guidelines dryer than a Sahara desert heatwave. Super easy to find funnier content online now without the parental-lock censorship. I miss the days when people spoke proper and didn't make slang for terms that A: Doesn't need one B: Doesn't make any actual sense until it's explained (therefor more of an inside joke that's passed around). C: End up being harder/longer to type than the original phrase/abbreviation.
