Even noticing that this is happening means you are a jealous lazy bum who is insufficiently grateful for the blessed job creators.

#1 issue in America (pandemic / other natural disasters aside) should be how to actually get the billionaires to pay taxes instead of just using loopholes. Then having a system that solely relies on the people struggling to get by to pay all the taxes.

Other than environmental issues (such as banning cryptocurrency), I do not care about any other political issue.

It's both. They borrow against their stock portfolio to buy their gold coin swimming pools. More tax efficient.

Top issues are healthcare and environment. You being mad at rich people isn't an issue.

Both issues can be helped via more tax money by closing loopholes and such that the rich abuse.

Never understood why wanting the rich to stop avoiding taxes is "being mad at them".

Sure. You can tax them more to solve a problem. But taxing them shouldn't be the goal. It's a tool you can use to fix a real problem.

I read that according to Janet Yellen, if tax aversion by very rich people was cracked down on, the tax revenue could increase by $10 trillion or in a decade or something like that.

If that is true, then I dont see why most people wouldnt be all for it. Great way of being able to pay for stuff without having to increase taxes.

There is a difference between subsidizing your savings through investments and having so much money and tax evasion knowledge that you never have to share it with the people dying on the streets.

In reality the fact that theres a difference between liquid wealth and net worth makes headlines like this misleading.

Being misleading is bad.

Its also misleading to leave out that they dont have to liquidate their wealth to use it for purchasing power. Never mind the political power it gives them.

Or we just more money in those jobs. People work to make money to support themselves, not just for the pleasure of being productive and making others money.

Weird how people will praise a CEO for taking a tiny salary sometimes, but then flip shit when workers suggest that maybe a company's board could have taken smaller bonuses and given everyone a raise.

Everyone seems to hate the rich and want to be paid more by their employer, but then half or more us throw ourselves on grenades to protect every penny of those people we were just bitching about.
