As others are pointing out, many of the attackers aren't likely Trump followers. The UK variant is getting plenty of coverage too yet I haven't heard about random violence against that group.

The news just highlights it more. And smartphones and camera cameras everywhere pick up the feeds. Statistically violence has gone down over the years. But covid might have brought it right back up?

Its harder to tell a British person at a glance. Granted, most of these atrackers have no idea whether the Asian American they attack is Chinese or not, they just swing at people that look vaguely east asian.

I just don't understand how you can blame trump, but also not blame the left as these are black people...aren't most black people, especially in California or new york, left? Why would the left listen to trump. It doesn't make any sense. There's a higher likelihood these guys are left and you're afraid to admit it. You do also have black people that outright support the GOP and alt right groups because they either believe they are special cases compared to other black people, religion, Democrats are making black men feminine, or they're Kanye West.

Of course many black men also don't participate in politics to begin with, so linking them to a political party with nothing to suggest they do anyway is pretty dumb.

It's more of a economic issue. When you're at the bottom of the ladder, things get rough. You're pushed to your limits, coupled with rampant drug abuse. It's not unexpected.
