It took me a long time to process what happened, and how close I came to dying. I was also studying philosophy pretty rigorously at the time and really into these crazy theories about the universe, so I was like, "How do I know that there isn't a universe which I did die, but my consciousness went to the universe where I didn't die" and stuff like that. My conclusion was there was no way to know, and that uncertainly f**ed with my brain for years and years.
