It was delicious. It doesn't look spicy with the spinach puree, but it was more spicy than anticipated. The cubed cottage cheese doesn't have much flavor. Really nice texture and works as a vehicle to enjoy the curry base flavor.

Served with basmati rice

It was my first try and I'd give it an 8/10, I will try it again and change a few things around to. Overall super healthy dish! Has anyone had it before?

I've had that. It's tasty as fuck, even if it looks like Soylent Green.

havent tried it yet, but always wanted to make one. I normally make dal makhni and chicken tikka masala.

I went to the Indian supermarket yesterday and in the back of that store is, they make Indian food to go.

I ordered a vegetarian thali set, it was so good. It came with Shahi paneer and dal makhni with basmati rice, yogurt, and naan bread.

I made Chicken Tikka Masala this week. Such simple but so good. I know it's not what Indians use but I really want to make a Beef Tikka Masala. Have you tried that before?

I haven't made Dal Makhani before, I might make it this week! Will definitely post it when I made it.

i havent tried beef. yet. what indian spices do you have in your cupboard? seems like a lot of indian dishes, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, dal makhni, shahi paneer, palak paneer uses very similar spices.

few months ago i bought garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric, red chili powder, and ginger powder. i feel like i can cook any indian dishes with those spices.

next time i go to the indian store i'll buy some basmati rice and a bag of flour from india that they use for naan or indian flat breads.

That's awesome you have the most important stuff already with those that you bought.

I did the same thing a few weeks back. I also bought some dey fenugreek too, you should get that next time. It adds an extra layer to the dish and smells really nice when you add it to the curry base. Definitely recommend. But with those things you bought yoy're pretty much set. Basic spices like cloves, star anis, cinnamon, cardamom pods are great fo r adding to a spice mix. Adding cardamom and cloves to your basmati rice is a cool trick to give your rice an indian flavor too.
