Is it crossing a line to call girls under age 18 the b-word?

I have a coworker who is 16 years old and one of the most insufferable people I have ever met. She actually works in a different department, but regularly comes by and brings her high school drama to the workplace. She is also probably one of the most arrogant and self-centered people there outside of upper management. Basically, one of those "the whole world revolves around me" type of people. No respect for other people, rude to everyone, and never seems to get punished or face consequences for her actions.

The workers in my department have been calling her the b-word, as in using the b-word to refer to her. Like instead of calling her by name, everybody actually calls her "the [b-word]." This is grown men and women referring to this 16-year-old girl as "the [b-word]" (those two words together).

Now I hate this girl just like anybody else and wish for her to get fired, but calling her that? Somehow that's going too far in my head. For some reason, I don't have a problem with calling an 18-year-old woman that, but calling a 16-year-old girl that feels extra wrong to me. I still see her as a kid, and even though I would celebrate her getting fired, it makes me uncomfortable what men and women in their 30s and 40s are calling her. She could be their daughter.

I'm certainly not going to join them in saying it, but it's getting annoying. It feels like everybody is wrong here. I could snitch on the girl and get her in trouble, or I could snitch on my older coworkers and get them in trouble, or I could stay quiet and not snitch at all, which is what I've been doing. Ultimately, I think somebody is going to get fired either way, so should I stay out of it or get myself involved?

Everybody can call everybody whatever they want. There might be some consequences but you won't get arrested.

No

Unless you literally mean "b-word" and not bitch. Don't call anyone b-word, it makes you look like a bitch

If it walks like a duck and it talks like a duck then it depends on the legal definition of an adult

What compels you to think otherwise?

Often times bitch specifically means a small, annoying person. Typically female and partnered with little. (That little bitch!)
