I enjoy the fandoms retcon over the years of claiming that actually the writers were brilliant because they intended the whole time for fans to hate Ahsoka at first, so that later we would fall in love with the character arc as she developed into a likeable person! characters don't have to be "likeable" at all, at any point, to be well-constructed.

This is true of a ton of "little shits" characters though. Like it probably has its own TVtropes page for how cliche/common it is.

This lol. The classic Star Wars Cycle. Im actually surprised people loved The Mandalorian right off the bat... Ive definitely seen a lot of things in that show that if they were done in any of the movies, the fans would go ballistic over.
