In terms of Ciri stuff tbh

I'd never do "Ciri is dead"

I've done the other two and I'm torn.

Ciri is a Witcher is the nicest ending but I feel like because of that it doesn't suit the rest of the game.

Ciri is Empress is more bittersweet but because of that I think it rounds out the game more nicely.

I think Ciri as Empress could do a lot to fix the world, especially reigning in the belligerent country. After the White Frost, fixing the world seems to be more fitting than just running off to be a Witcher.

Ciri is Witcher.

Being a non-douchebag empress in Nilfgaard has its uses, but I feel like having another Ciri-focused Witcher game could be a good TW4 idea.

it's been a while since I've played, but I went with Ciri becoming a witcher, iirc.

I figured that her dad would have a negative impact on her.

Ciri as a witcher. It's what would make her happiest; fuck the rest of the world.

I think the Empress ending is more fitting but I don't like that you have to bring Ciri to see Emhyr to achieve it. I don't think Geralt would insist or even suggest that she do that.

Witcher Ciri. I think it's the logical point to pick up from with a sequel, though they'd have to do something to keep Ciri's powers from being OP.

Am I mistaken, or did it say somewhere in the game that Morvran will become emperor some time down the road? If that's the case, it doesn't seem that Ciri would stay as the empress for long anyway

How does her becoming a witcher not suit the rest of the game? The whole game is about letting Ciri decide what she wants to do with her life basically, and her becoming a witcher is something shes always wanted

I phrased it poorly I guess.

In a game that prides itself on grey/grey morality and complicated storytelling (for a game anyway) it just stands out as a very "perfect ending" kinda thing.

From an in-universe perspective there's some stuff to suggest that Geralt himself doesn't really like being a Witcher and if given the choice would choose to have done something else with his life. So I'd question whether he'd want Ciri to have that life.

i believe that Ciri has a moral imperative to use her political and lineal importance to try to bring as much good to as much of the world as possible, since there are few who would have the power to effect as much change as she has the potential to, and that her choosing to be a Witcher would be not only selfish but ultimately wouldn't make her happy in the long run, because she could never live up to her true potential that way.

I agree with this-- it's basically the Spider-Man moral of Great Responsibility coming along with Great Power. Ciri could do so much more good as Empress compared to being a Witcher.

Also, being a Witcher is a hard, lonely, often miserable life. Not to mention the fact that she couldn't truly become a Witcher without undergoing all the trials & becoming a mutant like Geralt & the others, assuming she survives the process.

Which would totally fit for her character as described in the books (her being selfish etc.)
