Well probably because those are already states. DC isnt currently a state and the next vote in the Senate wont change that. This country was literally built on the belief that people deserve to be represented in the body governing them and if that representation happens to swing left then so be it, thats no reason to lock them out of the room, its their right to choice. DC doesnt need to be a state, its citizens just need to be treated fairly.
