There was a scene on the ride where the pirates were auctioning off women from the town they just pillaged. A few years ago, they changed it to them auctioning loot instead, with one of the women now being a pirate helping the auctioneer.

I don't plan on going to Disney ever again either, but has nothing to do with becoming more "woke". I just don't consider paying a small fortune to be in long lines, big crowds, on hot and humid days a fun time. Plus I used to work at an amusement park and the entire experience soured me on amusement parks altogether, I don't think I've been a patron of any amusement park since I worked that job lol.
