Are you saying all baseballs are suspicious because they have stitches?!

Decided to include Gumshoe for 2-1 since he is pretty important there, and he has some good moments. I also included Franziska for 2-4 even though you technically don't cross-examine her, but the pieces of evidence she presents at the end are pretty important and you do get to question her about them, even if it's just a simple follow-up. Plus, it lets us get an even ten options...!

This poll just reminds me of how darn great 2-4 is and how great it had to be to be carried on those testimonies considering you don't get to confront the killer directly during court. Every single witness in that case has great moments. It might even have my favorite comedic moment in the series when de Killer (and subsequently the judge) thinks Phoenix wants to become an assassin.

De Killer, all the way. One of the greatest twists comes from him.

De Killer is one of the best witnesses in the series. I especially love the radio sweating oil.

I mean DeKiller's gonna rightfully run away with this, but I'll take a minute here to say that I generally like Will Powers. Seems like a good dude.

I'm going with Adrian. She's there as the fake killer in the first day of the trial, and it's great watching Phoenix slowly realize she isn't really the killer despite how much he hopes she is.

2-4 Adrian Andrews might be the most interesting witness in the whole series. Though, de Killer is just a few steps behind. Hell, even 2-4 Powers is a top tier witness testimony. 2-4 so damn good.

I think I missed commenting on PW1 yesterday, but there's a real solid slate of witnesses there. 1-4 Larry is Larry at his best, Cody is the first real shake-up in the whole series and sets the bar high, and Polly is of course Polly. I voted Marshall because I think he brings a lot of life to 1-5, but any one of those could easily get my vote.

Voted de Killer, but the part where Phoenix has to intentionally push for Adrian's guilt despite knowing she's innocent, just to buy time, is one of the most tense part of the entire series. It's also the first moment where I went "Holy shit, Phoenix is actually terrifying to people on the stand."

On a lighter note, another great comedic moment is Phoenix pressing Powers for the first time and the dude instantly becoming terrified that he's going to turn him into the killer.

Yeah this. One of the absolute beauties of 2-4 is forcing the player to confront how Phoenix's abilities aren't necessarily the province of good (though of course having a magic magatama sure does help), and this is just another way.

Voted for Moe. West Clownadelphia born and raised, his first testimony being a giant call for help, the bad jokes, the fact that he can't work the crowd even though Trilo managed it, the crazy circus music during the final testimony. I pretty much never stop smiling throughout his time on the stand.

De Killer is better to be clear, but... De Killer being on this poll feels like cheating? He's a killer, and all the other killers are excluded from this. (Yeah, 2-4 has two killers.) De Killer rules though, agreed with everyone else. The radio animations are amazing, and obviously there's just some great moments both heavy and comic.

de Killer's a bit of a loophole because he's never on trial and never caught so he kinda doesn't fit the traditional "culprit" mold and the game paints Engarde as the "real" bad guy in the end

Also one of the funniest presses in the series is when Phoenix asks De Killer how much his fee is, and then what follows after that....=p

Yeah I get where you're coming from. Unusual situation by the series' standards for sure.
