I was a little worried that maybe it is a shooter after all if it's mainly bow gameplay where you have to aim with the arrow. It's like when infamous 1 was basically a shooter disguised as a superhero game. With auto aim it's fine since I don't have to do any aiming myself

I'm about in the second zone of the game, and it feels like a shooter. I was struggling at first because I was trying to play it like a stealth game like Tomb Raider or MGS. But the combat is pretty much shoot and run away when they go after you.

There's heavy stealth and adventure elements, but when you are fighting bigger machines, that gets thrown out the window.

Wait just quick question... tomb raider is a stealth game? I've played mgs and know it's a stealth game, but didn't know that about tomb raider, I thought it was the original uncharted before that series started?

I picked it up and I'm genuinely loving it. It's a really creative concept and it's just big fun. Like a mix of ghost of tsushima and monster hunter, but with this very cool sci fi twist.

It doesn't really feel like a shooter to me, even though it's a bow focused game. Like it's about precision shots and traps a lot of the time.

Also that topic is fucking lol. Imagine being so fragile that seeing women and POC in positions of authority triggers your incel tears.

I haven't played either of those though... (but I really want to like ghost because sucker punch's sly cooper was a series I enjoyed even if I dislike infamous, and I wish they'd go back on track and be like insomniac's sudden resurgence)

The trap gameplay makes me curious to see what that'll be like, but the developer's previous track record when I found out who made the game definitely gave me pause, but I'll hold off judgment once I sample it.
