Hi everyone, I will likely not be here anymore pretty soon as I'm closing my account which should be any day now as I'm waiting on the ticket to go through.
if you wish to further discuss crypto either continue with this topic or create a new one. Good to know the good users here for years, but the bad users have overtaken gamefaqs, I'm done with this place. --- Gimme dat, gimme dat, gimme dat DramaFAQs-misterbum ... Copied to Clipboard!

Don't let this worry you too much, its mostly the rich people leaving with the money they got.
This actually opens up the market for would-be investors. The tax sucks yes, but there is a flip-side thankfully. You just won't keep a million on you if you cash out. --- Gimme dat, gimme dat, gimme dat DramaFAQs-misterbum ... Copied to Clipboard!

ny thoughts on where we might be headed? that GRT i got when we last spoke is down 25% lol but SOL keeps steady for w/e reason my elementary TA suggested a significant breakout well above ath in mid-may, but the fact that the entire market is crashing has been a bit of a black swan development with respect to that projection. june unlock fud dissolution is another likely breakout point that has been raised, often compared to solana in that regard. all things equal though, grt breaking the 1.30 hard floor means it could search for a new floor as low as 1.04 prior to recovery, or dipping well below that in a worst case scenario - but should the latter happen i'll be setting all other investment prospects to the side and buying gratuitously. i must reiterate that this token's short term performance is a mess because its value at the moment is almost entirely driven by market psychology, but i'd like to have my hands on as much of it as i can afford before network query volume ramps up. --- ... if crypto does hit some new floors, i will try to buy more BTC and GRT as well. if i liquidate another 20% from the rest of my portfolio, it will only be if GRT dips into the 0.80s or lower. i'm considering doubling my dollar cost averaging into it while it's crabbing in the 1.20s though. the "june unlock fud" refers to four billion tokens belonging to early stakeholders vesting / being unlocked, which has been misconstrued/misrepresented as 4 billion tokens being dumped on the open market. this has made many prospective buyers skittish. i don't hold solana but i've heard good things about it, and it's one of the few projects that were unaffected by the crash for some reason, so i can't in good conscience recommend selling or trading it in. --- ... How exactly does crypto get taxed if it's allegedly anonymous? if it's not a zero-knowledge-proof-based crypto (e.g. monero) and wasn't obtained through mining, it's not anonymous; just pseudonymous. most crypto in this day and age is bought through exchanges subject to know-your-customer regulations, and which can be traced back to buyers through transaction histories. --- ... what's this mean >_> Very little - for now. Marks the beginning of buying pressure coming from customers rather than just market psychology (and the PoolTogether subgraph). At current delegation APY and the current network query volume growth rate, monthly revenue ($) for a 5,000 token stake might look something like this after x months: Both rates may collapse (or the former might increase) for some reason or another, but what the next cycle or two might look like even at more conservative rates (e.g., 10-15%) is still very interesting to think about. Price action is far more difficult to estimate given the number of variables in the equation. The $0.00002 peg for queries means that at lower GRT prices and more on the market, more tokens will be bought as payment, much of which will be staked by indexers or delegators. As more is staked, less is readily available on the market which inevitably means rising token prices, though the dollar peg will mean less is needed for queries. This leads me to believe there will be a somewhat linear relationship between query volume and price. Not sure what the growth coefficient will be though. MATIC is moving, you got in at a good time lolHaven't bought MATIC yet, buying on the 1st. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

i see. well, damn. i think i'm stuck in no man's land cause i'm unable to make staking worth while. i might just move my GRT to another coin... maybe just to SOL and i might stake SOL instead.i'd try to retain at least some GRT exposure as a hedge, and would be wary of chasing prices, but SOL is a pretty viable ETH competitor. Future_Trunks posted... does anyone know the best way to convert GRT to SOL? trying to avoid getting fucked by gas feeshttps://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/solana/markets/ there probably isn't going to be a GRT-SOL market, so you may need to trade for an intermediate coin (e.g. BTC, ETH, USDT, or USDC) on whichever exchange you go with prior to trading for SOL. --- ...
