So just ate 2 Larbars.
I then went to Facebook and like the 3rd thing on my feed was a friend liking Krogers and it was advertising Larbars.

HERE IS THE THING I have not bought a Larbar at Krogers in like over a year.

Last time I bought some packs was at HEB and that was like 3 months ago as I stocked up.

Weird.

Theyre definitely spying on you, Kroger just paid more for your Larabar consumption data than HEB did.

But like, I didn't say out loud "I am eating a larbar".

They would have to literally be fliming and parse the image to extract the box info.

Or maybe as I had bar in my hand to unwrap while I browse CE it snap pic of bar.

But that seems expensive and unrealistic to do.

Well they are slow cause that was a long time ago and I don't even think my last purchase at Krogers had any larbar.

I been buying them at HEB cause the HEB near me is better store than my local Kroger.

Thing is, I know how this all actually works. I took a class on it.

Banks sell your purchase data and places like FB and Kroger buy it to adverstise to you.

It is just really weird that I just happened to be eating a Larbar before I saw this.
I have never seen an ad for Larbar till now.

And the payment data sold to Kroger is like a year old. Even if this was based on HEB payment, that data is pretty old too I think.

I guess they might assume I ran out of Larbar and that is why it is hitting me now, but if so, they have bad calculations. I have like 3 boxes left that don't expire for like a year.

Welp, gonna eat another one.

I was in the kitchen yesterday, had my phone in my pocket. A neighbourhood black cat we call "Major Tom" jumped on our fence so i started singing Space Oddity to annoy my daughter.

about an hour later i sat in the front room, opened YouTube on my TV and there was the recommendation of Space Oddity by Bowie. Coincidence or is my phone listening?
