New Zealand is wonderful, but the mark-up prices must be hell over there due to mostly everything being shipped from overseas.

New Zealand is lovely, but it is very isolated and extremely distant from basically everybody and everything I love.

I'd be okay moving to Southern Ontario.

Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

How many months is the weather like that? Probably June, July, August, and a few weeks in September. Not judging, but I live in the northern part of the Southwestern US and thats basically what we get here. Theres no way that we have colder weather than Canada.

You have to get pretty far up north for that. I live about an hour north of Toronto, we only have snow on the ground for about 3-4 months of the year. Sometimes in the spring we get a cold snap and a bit of snow, but overnight frost warnings are over about the middle of May. A significant part of BC gets some rather mild weather all year round and barely anything we'd consider a real winter, but then again it's also expensive to live out there.

Honestly, I guess its not that much different from where I live. We get more snow in the spring than winter, which is really aggravating when you want to go outside and enjoy the weather. Right now, it should be like 80 outside, but its below 40 with another 100% snow day on the map for Monday.

Its not that I think Canada would be like the North Pole. I just honestly want to live somewhere really warm because thats where I grew up and my state only gets nice weather for 3-4 months.

Lived in New Zealand all my life. As long as you can actually manage to find/afford housing, it's good beyond that.

Though Canada does have the huge advantage of legal weed. NZ had a chance to get that but it very narrowly failed to pass the vote (was something like 50% to 48%).

The United States screwed this up by failing to legalize it nationwide. Now we have some states where its legal and some states where the cops act like its depleted uranium. People flee the illegal states and now the population density in legal states is so extreme that you cant even walk two feet without having to weave throw crowds and groups.

Depleted uranium is completely legal to possess in the US. It's *enriched* uranium that would quickly get you sent to Gitmo.

The whole "four seasons in one day" shtick is a very frequent occurance in NZ. Especially in the Auckland region.

Ah I didn't realize. Is it the rain or the currents or something? Or is it like Ireland where it never gets that warm and never gets uber cold lol?

Temperature-wise you'll generally avoid the extremes in the North Island (Northland region can get quite hot, but the rest doesn't get too bad and nowhere gets too cold); not so much so in the South Island. But yeah, the weather can be really unpredictable and change quickly at times. Wouldn't have a clue why; I just know from seeing it happen a lot.
