My [email protected] is my official business address. I got it when Gmail was by invites.
I got an invite here on GameFAQs (I think it was on LUE), made my internet nickname account, and when that one got invites, I made my FirstnameLastname account.

Now other people who are also named like me keep signing me up for stuff, trying to reset my password for stuff like FB, I get email receipts for their purchases, etc.

i've had people tell me i made a typo when they see it on a form or something.

i quickly learned that what i assumed to be an easier way to explain it would confuse people more. 'it's marshall, but with three As at the beginning' lmao if only that second A didn't exist in my actual name it'd be easier.

at the time it was a play on another username i sometimes took - aaarg.

Same here. I remember being told gmail didnt differentiate between firstnamelastname@ and firstname.lastname@ so I just stopped using it for anything personal in case incoming emails were sent to others.

My alter ego is signed up on a black dating site, has a kid in a New Jersey school, and belongs to a civil war reenactment society in South Carolina. Also he signed me up for both acorn and trump emails.
