Should they?

Florida doing Florida things.

Idk how true it was because I didn't really do any extracurricular activities growing up, but I was told by a friend that he had to get a physical at age 12 to be on the basketball team and he had to drop trou for his doctor, but afaik it wasn't a school employee that did it, it was his/a pediatrician.

All this kind of allowance does, is encourage pedophiles to further infiltrate school administrations. It should be discouraged at all levels and anyone who votes yes on a bill to allow schools to do so should voluntarily fire themselves (out of a cannon, into the Ocean).

uh if you do school sports you have to get a physical, and if you're a dude then yeah they'll ask you to drop your pants and cough so they can check for any hernias

which you'd want resolved before you play any sports, especially intense or contact sports

Not as a general / routine thing. If it's like, the school nurse inspecting them for a valid, specific-to-the-individual, medical reason, sure.

I assume it's different in the land of Canadia

Here, you could go to your personal doctor to get a physical and just turn in the paperwork instead. But they did have a day at PE that they brought in a doctor (not a school employee) to do physicals for anyone in sports who couldn't go to their own doctor for whatever reason. They had a little curtain or something in the locker room so none of the other kids could see you. I didn't really think anything of it, had to do it a good few times throughout HS too, always thought it was pretty standard procedure.

well in Florida, Gaetz for sure made sure that separation didn't exist.

Shouldnt their biological sex be already recorded somewhere in the school database in the first place? I cant imagine anyone should be finding this out only when they apply to play sports.

It's ok if an actual, real doctor is doing it (not a school employee) and done in a clinical manner. Besides that, no

Depends on the school. But yeah, some require a physical amd they need to know any medical conditions. Some just have you sign a waiver and that's it.

I've heard of "drop your pants and cough" in old jokes, but that's it. Never happened, and I was in every popular sport.
