What is you favourite and least favourite Star Trek TV series

***WARNING THIS TOPIC MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS***

What is your favourite and least favourite Star Trek series?

For me my favourite is Star Trek: The Original Series. I first started watching it in 1986, it is what got me into Star Trek and I have always felt there was something magical about it. The other series cant top it.

Second favourite is Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Least favourite is Star Trek: Deep Snorefest er I mean Deep Space Nine. I just never understood what people see in this utter garbage.

Outwith The Dominion episodes, The Mirror Universe episodes, Trials And Tribble-Ations and Civil defense the series was filled with utter crap.

Sisko is the worst Captain in Starfleet.

The creators changed the original premise that only a Commander could be in charge of a Space Station to making him Captain to try and win back fans of TOS and TNG.

They brough in The Defiant to again try and win back viewers of TOS and TNG who grew up with the idea that Star Trek was about a Captain on a Starship exploring The Galaxy and not being stuck on a Space Station not going anywhere and it worked as all the best episodes take place on The Defiant proving yet again a Starship is superior to a crap Station.

The Bajorans are a boring horrible race. I couldn't stand all that Prophets and Pah-Wraiths shit and nonsense. Also what the fuck was it in grabbing someones ear to test their "Pagh" or whetever that was.

The Sisko this and The Sisko that. Oh Shut the fuck up that got old after two episodes.

They had two excellent villains in Gul Dukat and Kai Winn and in Season 7 they destroyed them by turning them into mustache twirling cartoon villains.

With the exception of Jadzia Dax, Elim Garak and Quark the entire cast was horrendous (Chief Miles Edward O'Brien doesn't count as he is a superior TNG character). The creators freely admit that Worf was brought in to try and win back flagging viewer ratings.

I agree with one commentator who said that even though The Dominion War made absolutely fantastic TV it actually destroyed Star Trek. Let me explain. Season 5, 6 and 7 especially season's 6 and 7 were filled with some of the worst episodes ever created because they had blown the seasons budget on the Dominion Episodes. Take Season 6, after the opening six parter only 3 more episodes delt with the Dominion war. The rest was filled with utter trash. Same for Season 7. I mean how else do you explain in giving us utter trash in Let He Who Is Without Sin, You Are Cordually Invited, Profit And Lace, The Sound Of Her Voice, Times Orphan, Take Me Out To The Holosuite, Badda-Bing Badda-Bang, Prodigal Daughter (even the creators apologised for that mess) and Chimera.

Twice Babylon 5 won "Best Sci-Fi series" over DS9 and B5 was a show in constant danger of being cancelled.

All in all DS9 was a horrendous show.

I do not acknowledge the existence of those latest Star Trek series. Star Trek is now such TV poison that no channel on Earth wants a bar of them they are now only good enough for streaming, Star Trek died with the cancellation of Enterprise.

My favorite's DS9, with TNG coming in as a close second.

I don't have a least favorite series. I haven't watched all of any other trek series besides those two. I watched like 5 seasons of voyager, a season of enterprise, half a season of discovery, and a few episodes of picard and TOS.
