Yeah i've had a few good ones in the past, like my survival topic, and I took a 2 day road trip and it was gone before I could bump it again. A longer life should make sense on at least boards this active. I don't know how easy or difficult it would be to do but maybe it's an option.

The rationale Ive seen given before is because these are social boards and more likely to contain personal info / incriminating material so best to let them purge. The more specific boards archive old posts because they tend to be more informational / discussions over a certain topic. There have been rare cases and archived topic has had to be manually deleted by the admins for legal reasons. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
