Top 10 gang. Ayyyy.

No, but seriously. With how many irrelevant states hating on Texas 24/7, it's surprising to see it breaking the upper half.

DC has a lot of crime and poor neighborhoods. Plus government hate might have been a factor.

Come on now! As a resident of South Jersey, NJ absolutely doesn't deserve to be at the bottom of the barrel with Alabama ans Mississippi.

It really doesn't. The northern part is like an extension of downstate New York while the southern part is like an extension of Eastern Pennsylvania (aka Philadelphia area).

I mean look, A lot of people like to make jokes about New Jersey. I get that. But, lumping us with Alabama and Mississippi? I never thought I'd see that happen. Something DEFINITELY seems wrong here...

As a proud-ish Nevadan I always wonder why Nevada is so high on all of these. Most people couldn't name a place in Nevada outside of Las Vegas, Reno, and half of Tahoe, if they even consider it. Maybe that's all we need tho.

Area 51

As a fellow Nevadan I agree with what you are saying, Nevada wouldn't be ranked so high by people who actually live here. Outsiders know nothing of places like Fallon, Winnemucca, Elko, Minden, or other communities not part of Vegas or Reno.

I refuse to believe western Virginia exists, I've seen no evidence to prove it.

Why y'all lying. The cost of living out here is fucking ridiculous for what we offer. And we got to pay 13 bucks in tolls just to go to new York last I actually did that years ago.
It's even more because they hit you on both sides of the Goethals Bridge now and the tunnels are like $16 or something last time I drove through the Holland.

NJ had an old reputation as smelling like garbage It made more sense when the Hudson was still being used as a dump, and still makes sense to an extent: Newark Liberty National Airport is(was, lolcovid) one of the most heavily trafficked airports in the nation. If you're traveling out from there, you're almost certainly going to travel through Meadowlands' stanky swamps, or Chemical Coast.

That, and we all hate how absurdly high property values and taxes are.

But, fuckin', having stayed at enough states up and down the coast, it surprises me just how much the general environment and infrastructure isn't as good anywhere else. Our highways go nearly everywhere; our diners are almost always top notch, varied, plentiful, and fairly priced; we have suburbia, city nightlife, wildlife, rural areas, beaches, everything, all closer than you'd find it anywhere else; and we have the least issues with natural disasters, both in frequency and severity.

We have our problems, but everywhere has some fuckin' problems.

Yeah, everything is either a Government building, a tourist trap monument, or a poor neighborhood. Also you have to deal with diplomats, not directly, but cars with diplomatic plates. If you ever see a car with diplomatic plates, give them a wide fucking berth because diplomats drive like shit. They know full well that unless they really fuck up, anything they do will get excused with "diplomatic immunity." They also ignore parking laws.

I'm a Californian and I think it's fair. California is a nice state, but you can only fully appreciate it if you make a nice salary. Otherwise, you're stuck living in urban sprawl or out in the desert.
