My interest in post-rock has been reawakened from it's slumber, mostly because of the most recent Mogwai release "As The Love Continues". It's probably going to be my album of the year.

In the past I've listened to a good amount of Explosions In The Sky, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Russian Circles, Red Sparrowes and Gifts From Enola. Sigur Ros is alright, but what I've listened to was a bit slow and sleepy. I liked Pelican well enough, but always felt they were held back by Larry Herweg's drumming.

I'm looking at "best post-rock albums" lists now for some new material, but I figured some of you cats have to have some thoughts.

And yes, Mogwai is the best.

anyway my contribution is The Ocean. Their early stuff is all instrumental and their last couple albums have incorporated vocals but are still great

DMST is one that I'm embarrassed to have never gotten around to, because I actually bought a CD copy of &Yet &Yet in high school but never opened it. I think I got it right when I got into death metal and prog, so all of my time went to Opeth and Porcupine Tree. :s
