Whenever I'm listening to supposed real creepy stories stuff before I go to bed, I always, always skip the ghost/paranormal stories. They're just stupid and hard to believe. I'm sure a lot of the user stories in general are bullshit (because a lot of them sound like they are), but the paranormal/monster stuff are on a whole 'nother level of silly trying to be passed off as real.

I need to find more YouTubers that talk about actual unsettling shit.

If ghosts and shit exist, then I'm fairly certain that they can't see me and I can't see them. I've been in supposedly haunted places and others claimed to have seen stuff. Nothing for me. I dont have dream connections with dead loved ones. Nothing close. I'm a ghost to a ghost.

I say Western horror movies doesn't have enough grounded horror movies. We get good ones every once in a while like Get Out, Green Room, You're Next, etc.
For the past decade or so, it's been mainly dominated by crummy paranormal/monster flicks.
Some are good though. Like Hereditary. Love that movie.

Ghosts? Not really. Like I dont believe the idea that spirits of dead people linger around in the physical world. BUT I do believe that there are things that happen sometimes that are unexplainable and I do believe that those things that happen can be anchored to specific locations. Whether those things are empirically existing in the physical world or simply within the observers perception is unknowable and doesnt make much of a difference anyway as far as Im concerned

Nah, none of it exists. The rise of everyone having high def camera's moments away from taking picture/film producing no rise in "evidence" is only more proof that "I saw something out of the corner of my eye, or a blurry shape at 2 am" was already there is no such thing.

"This is a really real occurrence that I vaguely remember when I was a little girl. One time I was trying to go to sleep and a man came into my room. I thought it was my dad, but it turns out, he was the ghost of a Civil War soldier! He laid next to me in bed and just stayed their until he disappeared. It never happened to me again after that and I didn't know how to tell anyone the next day."

"One day my dad came home from work. He came into me and my broter's room to greet us. This guy that we assumed was his friend came in behind him and said "Hi," and left out. Later, my brother and I asked my dad where did his friend that he brought over go to and he said, "What friend?" My dad's friend had white hair and wore all white."

My grandparents house, which I lived in when they passed away had some kind of malevolent presence. There were a lot of incidents of sleep paralysis with a camera-like view of something stomping angrily down the hallway toward whichever room you were sleeping in and start wrenching at the door handle. You could physically see the door handle move. My mom grew up there and told me that the exact same thing happened to her decades ago, without me telling my story first.

There would also be times where I would close my eyes and I would get these bright flashes and some type of jolt. It was like being rushed by a spirit or something. Very scary, unfriendly feeling. Most of this would happen when you were trying to sleep. Guests would also claim to hear voices telling them to kill themselves when they slept in the guest room. My grandparents always said there was something off about that land. We sold the property and moved to another state.

And if they did exist, what's the big deal? They don't seem so bad. Never heard of a ghost ever killing or even hurting someone. They just walk by at the end of hallways or make noises.

The only time I ever thought I experienced the presence of a ghost was when a blanket moved slightly into the air by itself. I was also no older than 10 and probably just made it up for attention.
