Its pretty simplistic but I like it a lot cause it has a bunch of unlockable classes and they all play really uniquely. I think its actually a port of what used to be a flash game.

But anyways theres this other game on the Nintendo eshop called Son of a Witch made by a different developer and it looks like it used many of the exact same sprites and artwork. I wonder if both games paid the same artist for the images or if since theyre indie games if they both just used some default asset thing included with some developer program.

I also wonder what other games use this artwork if there are any. Anyone played either game or seen this art elsewhere?

It's possible both games bought a license for the same generic art assets?

I can't believe we're still giving games generic names like monster slayers

I found this thread where the developer of Monster Slayers comments on this:

If you don't want to follow the link, here's a copypasta of his post:
"I actually hired an artist for both the characters and the backgrounds, but the artist for the characters pulled out so I had to replace him with a commercial asset pack to make the release. For what it's worth, the heroes and expansion monsters are all hand drawn by me. :D"

So, looks like both games used the same asset pack.

that explains it then, thanks for looking into it

now I gotta figure out how this asset pack relates to Bigfoot. . .

Yeah this is a pretty solid game, especially in the world of generic looking mobs and characters.
