He was good but not sure if he's the right guy. Keep the auditions open. I still say I'd like Dan Patrick - if he's interested.

No, even Dr. Oz was better than him. Maybe he'd grow into the position, but I didn't like his performance from the episode I saw.

To my mind, at his best, Trebek was intellectual - but not too much so. He could be funny- but again not too much so. And witty.

There will never be another Trebek, so let's sweep that off the table,

Ideally they get someone appropriately intellectual with a Theolonius Monk sense of timing for humor. Add in a dash of wit and you've got your host. It may take a year of guests to find that person. It may even be a woman.

He seems like a nice enough guy, but they could have a filing cabinet wearing a necktie host and it would have more personality.

You can tell he's studied up on how to approach the job, but I think he's too softspoken. It's hard to hear him at times, especially over applause.

No. Still on team Levar.

And of course he'd want it. It's a pretty easy multimillion dollar payday. Who wouldn't want that gig?

---
Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

For a minute I thought you were talking about Lavar Ball. I'll see my way out.

No worries my friend. To your point, he would be an excellent candidate. Has he hosted yet?

Not yet, and not even scheduled, too:

Though looking at the list of upcoming guests, I actually like Sanjay Gupta, too.

Anderson Cooper could be interesting, with a little more personality. I mentioned earlier ITT it could be a woman. That woman is not Katie Couric.
