I've been modded for them in the very distant past. I don't think mods do that anymore (at least not on boards like CE) unless there's a ToU violation beyond just the fad aspect.

but due to the rng 'too much' limit
mine was usually the first paraody topic and people would spam copies of it and I'd get warned for starting it

Ugh, yes, I remember when the rule was "you can make one or two, but if everyone else follows suit, even the early adopters get warned". >_>

That was one of the most bullshit rules (official or not, it was a rule in practice) in GameFAQs history, and given how moderations can get on here, that's saying something.

It was for disruptive postung. There were like 10 other similar topics at the time. The answer is yes and no. They're fine as long as it doesn't flood the board.

Back in 2005 on RI we had something called Pikadeths Playhouse. A social topic series. One day someone named Mayor Quimby made an "Anti playhouse" that copied the exact format of the real topics. And they got modded several times.

One time I made a joke topic about Mind of Mencia coming back for a third season and asked what everyone's reaction would be if that was actually the case.

I got modded for Trolling. Consider what they let slide on a regular basis, I often wonder what even defines "trolling" in the mod's minds. Or maybe even that particular mod was a huge fan of Mind of Mencia for some reason and got triggered lol
