Incredible map. Its the perfect size. Plenty to do. Tons of variety. Packed full of memorable NPCs and pedestrians.
The physics were arcade-y and wacky. It was fun and Id always be entertained by whatever wacky thing happened next. A fun story of a character building his way to the top. I love it all! ... Copied to Clipboard!

For its time it was the pinnacle of open world gameplay. It wasn't truly outdone until GTAV came out, and even then there were some systems in SA that V didn't replicate--the weight gain/loss mechanic, for example.

For me it's just the throwback to a time that I've become so curious about. I grew up and been around the San Andreas vicinity, but I was a kid. I never knew what was going on let alone in certain neighborhoods. Literal wish in life would be to momentarily step back into the early 90's to know what it's like to be an adult and be independent in that time where I grew up.
Of course it's not accurate, but like Vice City, there's at least a sensationalized atmosphere. Interestingly enough the sky scapes of each city are just like I remember. --- Competing every night, both ends, shoot inside/outside, fast break, transition, Monta Ellis have it all ... If the next GTA can clean up its clunky-ness of its controls then their gameplay would truly be near perfect.
