Says he will get it if everything adds up, says people are free to choose whether they want to get it or not.

vaccine injuries do exist and for someone in their early 20s whos livelihood is athletics I dont see how him being cautious is a thing to criticize.

disclosure: Im pro vaccine and I believe everyone whos able to get it, should get it. But I also believe in bodily autonomy.

I've seen far worse. At least he's "debating" rather than flat out refusing. Don't believe there's any debate to be had though, get the vaccine as soon as you can. His belief in freedom of choice isn't uncommon, I wouldn't be surprised if the vast majority of the NFL believes in freedom of choice.

I personally wouldn't care if Canada made the vaccine mandatory, but from what polls I've seen most of Canada wants the vaccine and herd immunity will be pretty attainable without making it mandatory.

Khamzat chimaev went from having one of the biggest hype trains in the ufc to being unable to compete in two booked matches, still not being ready to fight, and being so sick he actually announced his retirement at one point.

Tony Boseli, a borderline HoF, almost died to it.

Cam Newton almost lost his job cause of it with how terrible his year was last year. iirc, Freddie Freeman had some complications as did Von Miller.

Current ufc champ Alexander volkanovski is another dude who had a really rough time with covid and had heart problems for a while because of it and was hospitalized repeatedly due to it.

Even he says he's not sure if he's fully recovered or what lingering effects it has.

If he was a true stats / logic guy he wouldn't be playing in the NFL. It is 95% likely if you play to the NFL level you will develop CTE.

Sure. But, how many actually retain/invest their money when its over after 2-10 years? Most professional athletes end up solidly middle class after they retire because to my initial comment, they're just not good with money and planning. Bills TE Tommy Sweeney was already brought up, but as I recall, Cam Newton, Myles Garrett, and Lamar Jackson all complained of COVID-related after effects. Just off the top of my head.
