I wonder when the Neanderthal were around thousands of years ago, I wonder how their lives used to be. I can imagine it would be way different than nowadays.

I wonder what jobs Neanderthal used to have and how kids used to have fun back in those days.
Someone that was born in the 60s used to fly kites and didnt play consoles since there wasnt console to play, while nowadays people dont fly kites and play consoles instead. If from 1960 to nowaday there is a huge difference in how kids used to play, I can imagine that thousands of years the difference would be huge.

I wonder what technology used to exist in those days. In those days when they got sick I wonder what medicine used to exist.

Back in a distant memory I remember reading an Oxford Archeology report that suggested Neanderthal kids played with toy versions of adult tools. Like small axes and such.
... That's sparked a memory I may have to Google..

I can imagine that without artificial ingredients and artificial things to food, fruit, vegetable and drinks that would lead to them being healthier.

Surely with no factories around, vehicles, cigarettes, junk food, etc, that means their diet and health would be better.

And there'd be a hell of a lot less of them spread over the earth.

True but there was lots of other homo species hence us considering we evolved from inter species breeding.

Aye but still less than the current population.
The population has gone absolutely crazy over the last 100 years. 130000 years ago I bet the population was tiny.

Neanderthals matured faster than Homo Sapiens. They were adults at like 14.

Approx 1% of our genome is Neanderthal.

We need to know when Homo Sapiens existed and when Neanderthal went exist to know if they met each other or not. Although there are evidence that Homo Sapiens nowadays shares 99.5% when it comes to DNA, here is the source:

https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20200128-how-did-the-last-neanderthals-live

In fact, as the University of Colorado Boulders Paola Villa put it in a review, they were much like us: we need to dispel "the modern human superiority complex". This is strengthened by genetic insights. Not only do we share 99.5% of the same DNA, we still carry some Neanderthal DNA today.

Thats because when we arrived into Europe from Africa, we met each other several times and interbred with them. All individuals outside of Africa still carry evidence of this prehistoric mingling. I discovered a few years ago that I have 2.5% Neanderthal DNA. Theres a lot of it out there across thousands of individuals, researchers have identified a combined total of 20% Neanderthal DNA in modern humans today.

Discoveries at Gorhams cave have helped give us many more insights like these, especially about their last years on Earth.

They could've been. They were certainly better suited for survival outside of Africa. The reason homo sapiens won out was because of better social structure and sharing.

they did a study and their spears used some plaster they prepared with ash and some other stuff (tree goo or whatever) to make the tip of the spear fuse with the wooden staff. Meanwhile homo sapiens resorted to a far more rudimentary technique, which consisted on just tying the sharp tip to the staff.

apparently they also attempted to heal their wounded and mourned them, while the homo sapiens of the time were more like feral people.

apparently we overtook them because we were more violent.

I don't think the neanderthals ever settled meaning they didn't have "jobs" they were all just "hunter gatherer"

Jobs didn't really become a thing until agriculture was developed. Back then there were probably just 4 jobs total. Farmer, Carpenter, Potter, and Prostitute and everyone was self employed.

There was probably not much fun to be had at first. Music & dancing are the two oldest hobbies. Simple percussion like banging two bones together and singing. At some point poetry & art got invented.

Taxonomy is kind of arbitrary anyway. Homo Sapiens are likely the result of Homo Erectus having crossbred with Homo Neanderthalensis and Homo Denisova.
