Sunny hot weekend

Now its snowing.

Wat

And it rains all the time.

Sure there's no Earthquakes or Tornadoes and they call a warm day a heatwave

But like I said, teenage girl. She's not that strong, she just can never make her bloody mind up.

People that don't live here think it does, but it doesn't, not really.
Some mountainous regions get a little more rainfall than others, but globally, the UK is around 75th on the rainfall tables.
Japan, Brazil, New Zealand all have far more rain than the UK.

United Kingdom 1,220mm
For perspective
Washington and the north coast of Oregon are the wettest areas. 2,540mm

It rained 190 days of last year.

That may well be "less than some years in the past" but it's still all the fucking time.

So if you measure rain fall where it raining than it's raining there...

See there's the flaw in your scenario. You only Google UK information, you don experience it.
If you did, you'd know that it can piss down in Manchester, be sunny and hot in Essex.
It could be snowing in Glasgow, sunny and warm in Portsmouth.
But because you Google info, you just lump all of "The UK" together.

But if you look at stats of rainfall for the UK they count any day rain fell anywhere in the UK.
Of.you look at specifics, like Dundee for example, it's in the UK but it rains far far far less.

It's like looking at America as a whole, they have very rainy states, but their average is brought down because they also have Nevada, a very dry place.

False equivalence

The US is so much larger then the UK

You can't bring Nevada and Alaska into the same conversation as comparison to the UK

And you know that.

The UK is tiny. You can train from Penzance to Aberdeen in a matter of hours

There are parts of the US that are further away from New York than the UK itself

Yes

So which is it? We can generalise? Or can't?

You can generalize tiny areas where the weather is largely the same. Not colossal landscapes crossing multiple time zones where the weather is dramatically different.

Ice fields and sandy deserts in the same huge muilt thousand mile nation vs a small island that thinks a warm day is a heatwave and never gets tsunamis or earthquakes

A more akin comparison would be generalizing the weather of Rhode Island to the UK.

But you already know this and just get off on lying

I mean your own example kills you. Even Cherry picked Dundee still got 125 days of rain

Thats still a lot. It's still in the 190 ballpark

Let's check the weather right now. Let's check this claim of "Largely the same"

Hmm. So.

2c in northern Scotland with snow.
5c and sunny in Dunbar
6c Sun and dry in York.
11c and cloudy in Plymouth.

Largely the same.
So Sunny, dry, cloudy, snowy and 2c, 5c, 6c, 11c
All the same...
so difference of 9c across the entire UK

In the US the coldest is-63c and the hottest is 58c

For a difference of 105c between them.

Totally comparable

AND you've proven my point about how inconsistent the weather is

For the record it's been sunny, dry and snowy for me today In one place
