It happened over a decade ago when she learned she was in the big house for 213 YEARS for ARMED ROBBERY and after fighting over a decade to release him, he was finally released after 20 years.... Now they are set to marry and she is pregnant with his child. Adam was sent to NJ state prison for armed robbery at 18 and a friend brought them together in 2009 with Adam in his 9th year of his long federal prison sentence. She said she went to visit him and believed he was a changed man as she fought to have him freed in 2020 which he was. Roseanne was heartbroken and infuriated calling it unfair as it shined a light on extreme injustice and corruption in the US Justice System. She said she knew from that moment after talkingto him that she would fight to release him as she remembered Adam as not being the "bad boy" in high school and saw him as the caring, mature, remorseful, and intelligent man who deserved a second chance and not behind barbed wire and prison walls She works in search engine marketing and built a "prison wife" brand and became loyal and fiercely loving to Adam and blamed legalities on his prison sentence where his federal sentence was for armed robbery which was 8 years but was enhanced to 205 more because he had a gun during the committing of his crime. She doesn't dispute what he did was awful and absolutely deserved his lengthy sentence but the guideline for his crimes where no lives were taken and no one was hurt should have meant only 0 to 20 years but the feds chose to punish him for not cooperating which included lying about his accomplices. The judge had no say and his hands were tied and was obligated to hand down the "life in numbers" sentence when the government punishes someone for exercising their consitutional right to a fair trial or a trial penalty But after 9 years of driving 3 hours to visit him in a maximum security prison, she knew she would fight tooth and nail for him even though he moved to a NJ prison out of state she would fly to see him every month and she would cry many times in a bathroom stall knowing what he must be going through with the more "violent criminals" Even visiting him in prison was torture cause they had to be at a distance and her hands always had to be on the table. Adam became a certified life coach in prison helping men find purpose and coaching them to a better life and to get out and stay out and to make the best of their second chance She said he's an extremely well spoken man and nobody felt threatened by him. After years of many countless losses in court and bills dying on the senate floor and appeals being ignored, finally a door opened where he was released after a judge reviewed his attorney's appeal for a compassionate released and sentenced him to "time served" and was ordered to be released. They now have a youtube channel with 20,000+ subs telling their story as Adam was introduced to it since he never knew so many things have changed since being in prison for 20 years. Now he is working at Hope for Prisoners with his friend, CEO Jon Ponder whom he met many years ago on fighting release for prisoners and will be expecting his first child in July and he cannot wait to be a father and to start living again.... Ducky's timeline is confusing as fuck, but if it was an armed robbery when he was 18 or 19, he shouldn't have got a life sentence regardless.
