MuayThai85 04/04/21 8:30:35 PM #1:	Some of you already know my story. My wife, daughter, and I lost everything due to the pandemic (job, possessions, home, etc). We were forced to flee 2 different countries and spent the last year living with family and friends. We finally got our own place. Things are starting to turn for us I think. Hopefully my wife will have her permanent residence in the near future so that she can begin working as well. It's been a crazy 4 days and I've spent a ton of money but we are extremely happy to be out on out own again. Ordered a painting for that empty wall. Got a terrarium and chameleon coming as well soon (promised my daughter one for her birthday once we got our own place). Our city in China was going under increasing lockdowns (went under full mandatory 48 hour lockdown the day we left, only one person per house could leave for 2 hours every 48 hours to get supplies). My parents were visiting and both are extremely high risk and Chinese hospitals are horrible. We left to Thailand where our home is. Couldn't get back to China. Only choice was try to get back to Canada because Thailand was also going under lockdowns which would have made finding work for either of us impossible. David1988 posted... Couldn't return to our apartment and they wouldn't refund the 3 more months we had already paid in advance even though we cleared out the apartment.
