We pretended that we were taking it super seriously, but our governor is pathetic and he caved the second that his financial backers (business owners) demanded that he open up again. We were shut down for two weeks, I think, and fast food restaurants were never shut down. I basically live in a tourist trap, though, so they prioritize money flow over the safety and well-being of the citizens. My parents got the vaccine, so Im officially going back to living my life. The citizens of my city basically said that we wanted to take it VERY seriously for a couple months to bring down the numbers and then limit tourism to avoid bringing the numbers back up. Our governor acted like that was the best idea ever and then changed his mind when his financial backers said it was bad for them. #removePolis I got a Fuji bike, though. Its a fixed gear, which Ive never had before (since I was a little kid). This bike is brand new, so I can fix it easier and I dont have to hunt around for old parts.
