They wanted an actual revival of ECW and the first year or so was so laughably terrible at achieving that. Then they changed course, and started booking a really respectable and enjoyable developmental show. But yeah like I said, narrow minded people such as yourself ignore that because it wasnt a carbon copy of the original ECW, which if you were to think about it logically for more than ten seconds, youd realize nothing like the original ECW was gonna happen in 2006 under the E. WWECW was really good once it found its groove in 2007 or so, its just it wasn't "ECW" and that really ruined it for a lot of people. Especially after WWE went HD and ECW just felt... wrong. But the big stories on ECW were always great, probably because it was the 3rd brand and nobody cared. CM Punk chasing the ECW title, then that weird 3 months where every hoss in the company wanted the title, then Matt Hardy finally getting his chance at the top of the card, Christian's comeback and holding ECW together for a full year and putting over all the young talent that would theoretically be a big part of the future, Tommy Dreamer finally getting a real reign, it was all great. Once they changed the logo and the belt it was actually (don't laugh) the BEST weekly wrestling show for a good little while. Mark Henry's first push and his great reign. Lots of fresh talent like Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston, Sheamus. Christian was a great Champion. Regal running a little faction. I also think NXT Redemption is very underrated once it ended up becoming its own thing with Bateman, Dirty Curty, Maxine, Hawkins & Reks, Goldust. It was really...different. Wacky.
