are you playing on hard? cuz iirc now that can happen to shops when u play on hard

I do care about completion sadly, I wish I didnt but I had 100% achievements in the original, Rebirth, and then each update before the next one hit. Repentance has been trying my patience more than usual though so I might not make it this time.

Fair enough, I got the achievement for 1001% completion after starting the DLC through a glitch I guess and I definitely did not deserve it. I can't even beat some of the challenges from the original release, like cat got your tongue, so I never had the urge to go full completion because I knew I sucked too much, lol.

Also Judas's alt is fun as hell, you double tap to "dash" (slow time, turn invisible, and walk though enemies, playing the dash animation and damaging them when you release), and your tears get a temp boost based on how many enemies you sliced through. Only alt I unlocked so far but this is already more interesting to play than most of the base characters.

Was having the most insane run with Bethany + the metronome and then Dad's Note just...didn't spawn, and I got soft locked in the empty boss room instead. Nice.

Nothing major like booster packs this time, but they did say there will be bug fixes and some balance changes based on feedback. I don't think there's a major reason to hold out.

Man I've spoiled myself on all of the stuff to unlock and man... I'd love to play it but I don't have the free time I used to. When I was unemployed I beat Hush and Mega Satan with The Lost on Afterbirth. It was such a struggle...

Seeing everything that has been added since then? No way in hell would I ever be able to even come close to 100%ing this. Also Apex Legends takes up a lot of my gaming time. I'm still tempted to get this tho. Would've been nice to get the Switch port of the DLC at the same time tbh. Even though I will never grind the Greed Machine or do the other masochistic stuff I did back then ever again. I love the game but fuck some of the design choices Ed made with it.

Playing on PS4 I have the following to go:
Challenges: Speed, Brains!, Ultra Hard & Pong
Keeper: Hush, Mega Satan, Satan, Lamb
Beat Lamb in < 20min
Beat Lamb without taking Hearts, Coins or Bombs.

Seriously why are any of these in the game.

Can anyone tell me why the fuck Dark Room red chests cost hearts to take??? People already dodged the Dark Room. Can't imagine why Edmund would make it even less appealing to go to.

Because before going to the dark room paid out with troll bombs or spiders 99% of the time.
Now you get 4 deals with the devil. A welcome change.

On another note, slowly working on killing Mother with all the characters before going for the true ending and 34 shenanigans

It remembered my saves. I also beat the alt path my second time trying as Azazel (normal mode, not going to fuck around with Hard mode anymore because I want to actually have a chance of winning and unlocking stuff). If you see Eye of the Occult with Azazel take it. It is one of those items like Ludovico Technique that is just absolutely broken on him. It gives his Brimstone the Marked effect, has infinite range (tied to the marker) and has homing properties.

I want to have fun with the game. I don't need to break it to do that. But ratcheting up the difficulty even more when I cleared these post-its is just like... Nah. I know there's worse, now. I know the spoilers.





Also yeah, I know I still have 1 more character to unlock. I was actually playing Azazel to do that because I heard he is the easiest to do that with. Didn't get a bomb floor 1 so I just went alt path... lmao

It's only needed to unlock Bethany. Other than that what do you get? Co-op babies. It only matters if you're one of those people who has to 1 billion percent the game. Before tbh Hard mode was in some ways EASIER than normal, because Champion enemies had higher chance of drops. It's why there's an item that spawns more champions. It's a positive thing once you are decent at the game.

Not sure about Repentance or any of the other expansions, but I'm pretty sure you could only unlock Godhead by completing the Lost's post it note on Hard.

Can you get achievements with mods or did Edmund ruin that too? I remember downloading a mod to cheese the Greed machine because I wasn't grinding that boring mode for Keeper + Holy Mantle Lost.

When youre fighting The Beast gauntlet area, extra lives let you pick up where you left off instead of resetting your progress on the boss. Dead Cat was really good to me.

Also Apollyon is kinda underwhelming imo.

Ok. I bought it on PC cause I couldnt wait. But got a pre-done save file cause I couldnt be bothered redoing everything all over again especially with the amount of nerfs. Just gotta do Keepers marks and the Ultra Hard, Brains and Speed challenges as I beat the others properly.

playing Repentance though. Does anyone feel like all the first floor bosses have been buffed? I feel like Im doing sponge damage to them every time.
