I remember the high school weekend all night LANs

now you hop online and theres one guy from those days online but hes on Netflix and the rest havent touched their Xbox in over a year and youre too tired to play more than a couple rounds anyway

Eventually that stuff will stop appealing to you. You're in a weird transition phase where you still think you're in party mode, but the world has now lapped you.

Of course, some people never do leave the party, and that gets sadder the later it goes.

saw this video in my recommended a few weeks ago and it hit me then and I havent been able to stop thinking about it

hit especially hard cause Halo Reach was the last big game I played with everyone. Got it at the midnight launch with everyone and we all rushed home and played it nonstop.

nowadays it exists in a much better form on Halo MCC and it has a big population but its just not the same without the people I used to play with.
