They fucking made me use something called a pump cart or something. I kept banging it into the metal rails trying to turn. Piece of shit thing is useless. Then I had to take 3 full skids of water to the correct area. 3 customers almost hit me along the way. Plus I couldn't even see when I was moving it cause I'm short. I was walking on my fucking tippy toes to see push it so I didn't hit someone and they sue me.

I quit after my first break.

As someone who worked at Walmart for a solid decade, that's easy stuff. If that's what got you to quit, you weren't fit to work there in the first place.

i don't know if it's just my store's manager, orders from corporate, or just general pandemic bullshit, but my store has been getting steadily worse as a customer.

stocking shelves at the busiest times of day, tons of employees filling the order buckets, the automatic cleaning bot. they turned the soda and juice area into an alcohol area, and then to make room for the displaced stuff they added an entire extra row by making them all narrower. now two carts can barely pass each other and gods help you if an employee is working in that aisle. and i can't even go overnight because they're still closed third shift for covid.

I'm going back to being an Uber driver. At least when I turn my steering wheel the car doesn't bang into stuff. And I don't need to drive the car on my tippy toes for like 1 hour.

Yeah, that's a more physical job than it seems. I didn't work at Walmart, but I worked as a merchandiser for Coca-Cola for a little while and that's pretty much working in the backrooms too.

Hated it. It was like $3 above minimum wage though, which was not bad at 18 years old lol.
