I blame the voters more than the billionaires. There are clearly people fighting to tax the rich but they don't get votes. I have NO idea why many Republican voters who are dirt poor vote for things to keep themselves dirt poor and keep the rich getting richer.

Those people tend to be the least educated, which means they are more susceptible to nonsense like "bootstraps"

IMO that's why free college should be a top priority, along with cancelling all student debt.

You don't need to go to school to know if you're getting swindled. I do agree lack of education or limited resources definitely makes people susceptible to propaganda, but I can't help but feel frustrated that they're hurting themselves just to hurt me, whether they know it or not.

unfortunately, one needs access to information (internet and books and college) in order to learn about Power in history and how it works

otherwise it's harder to see why at the macro level things are rigged in favor of those with Power

The elite literally have so much money and we are sending so much to foreign countries and the military that the workforce is not sustainable for the population. Wages are exponentially down, its harder and harder to find a decent job because of the explosion of population, and the cost of living is at an all time high.

Hmm... it almost seems like the 1% is being allowed by our elected officials to ruin the entire generation.

it's not because we lack meaningful work to do

it's because we don't want to fund it, and by we I mean the people who have the power to put a wealth tax on the billionaires
