only a handful of eps that airs on morning TV over here. it's fairly accurate and they don't hold back (from what i've seen) for a somewhat mainstream family sitcom. which is impressive

the prince episode they had got me listening to him again. i enjoyed watching it

I like it, from what I've seen, but it's hard for me to consistently watch through sitcoms these days.

I started watching it last uear. But it fell to me just losing the ability to pay attention to tv shows. So sometimes Id be like "eh" and then there were times I was fully in and it seemed like one the best shows going on. I think Tracy Ellis Ross was my favorite overall. Pretty sure I stopped watching tv solo pretty much completely around season 3. Ill definitely go back to it if I ever come back from Youtube

I haven't watched the latest season because it starts with election stuff and I was just so fed up with it at the time that I didn't want to willingly spend more time watching something that was going to focus on it. It's probably been long enough that I could get through the first episodes and hopefully they move past it quickly. Over all it's a good show though and they do probably about as well as you can expect a sitcom to do with incorporating some heavy racial and marriage/family issues and stuff into it.

it's nice to see it played out with a black family at the core. we've seen parts of it in comedies like fresh prince and my wife and kids, but this feels a lot deeper and realistic

Black-ish is fantastic. The work-place humor and characters are 10/10. The family unit feels real and they actually care about each other unlike other shows (Modern Family).

I haven't seen Mixed-ish (about Bow and her family growing up) but Grown-ish (Zoey in college) is really good too. And I'm sure Old-ish (about Ruby and Pops) will be just as good.

Black-ish has so many spinoffs but it never feels like overkill.

Charlie is a treasure. You should also watch Mixed-ish.

I've only seen a couple episodes of that spin off, Grown-ish, but I definitely liked it.

I've wanted to try watching this show for awhile now, seen bits and pieces of it already. It didn't really seem to be all that funny to me but I do at least appreciate the idea of a show featuring a black family that's meant to avert several stereotypes about us. We need more media like that.

You should really give it a shot. The family humor isn't all that laugh-out-loud funny. It's still great and I laugh but there is more emotional stakes with it. But the workplace stuff is where it gets me crying in laughter.

The family scenes are more traditional sitcom comedy and the workplace stuff is like....30 Rock. It's a weird mishmash that works.
