Just play as Eddie or Christie and button mash. Never lost using that strategy.

DoA is the only good fighting game. I don't care if people call it a button masher, the fighting is so fluid. It looks and feels like an actual fight rather than waiting around for combos.

Yeah, I probably played like over ten thousand matches over the span of years only to plateau at Raijin rank. Still, it's fun. I think the matchmaking is good, you are paired up with people near your skill level instead of the pros you're talking about.
