Picked it up from the shelter. About ten years old. Was a housecat previously. Very affectionate and minimally destructive. Eveything's working out great so far. It came with the name 'Prince Eric,' almost certainly named after the character in 'Little Mermaid.'

But all I can think it 'Eric Cartman (Catman?)' every time it comes up to me and squawks for kitty poofs. It's just this long, raspy little meow. Very endearing. We weren't planning on keeping its name 'Prince Eric,' but 'Cartman' is in the rotation.

(Currently, BonBon is the most frequent name. That itself is a nickname to another name we'd been using as a joke, Bonny Prince Derek, a character from in 'Disenchantment.' I think that name's going to stick, but damn, if you told ten year-old me that thirty-two year-old me would have a cat named BonBon, I'd have died of shame.)

Ha ha, yeah, almost like Chef. I don't know why he's got so much goblin in his voice, but I loved it right away.

Upon surrender at the shelter, there was a wound on his neck. You can still see where it was shaved and stitched. I wondered if that might have done something to the cat's voice, but the scars don't seem very deep and the wound was on the side, not by the underside of the throat/voice box. Might just be a creaky-voiced kitty.
