Happened to me. Couple of girls were flirty, turns out that's just how they act around men in general and they actually weren't interested in me.

I swear that ruined my perception of things now. I probably won't find someone unless she literally throws herself at me.

It is true that if you want to be absolute sure the girl likes you, then yea, wait for her to ask you out.

Absolute truth goin' on right here. And if you're really good looking like 8/10 or better it's much less than 10% Ask me how I know, and how being good looking and crippling shy kept me a virgin into my 30s....

Big tip for success:

If you're on a first date with a girl and the conversation seems to be going well into the second hour mark watch her reactions when you talk. If she smiles, giggles, or laughs a lot, especially when what you're saying isn't really that funny, it's time to make a move. Not a sexual move, but a more aggressive touch or gesture such as taking her boldly by the hand, hand on shoulder, or an arm around her. If she doesn't decline the gesture you are officially in the door and you will be able to have sex with her within another date or two so long as you don't get too aggressive too quickly, and just play it cool.

I would recommend ending the date not long after the touch, "riding off into the sunset" in a sense. On the second date offer to exchange a nice back massage...if that goes well go for an aggressive touch like inner thigh (but work your way there slowly) She might reject this touch this early, but there's a good chance she won't.
