I mean - even if what they're doing is wrong, that particular catcher is a total douche. He's had other videos where he makes fun of physically disabled people he's caught, people with possible mental deficiency, etc.
Like most of these channels - they're just bullies that see these predators as the easiest targets to bully, since nobody will dare question or criticize them lest they label that person a sympathizer. Catchers that are decent people, like Anxiety War, are very few and far between.

But yeah - there's no way that person doesn't want to end their own life after that.

Can't say the dude didn't deserve anything he got given the background but the idea of adolescents watching this content on a regular basis makes me uncomfortable for a multitude of reasons.

For starters taking the whole "it's a prank bro!" algorithm-friendly shtick to literal vigilante justice is gonna have disastrous consequences on impressionable viewers - we've already seen news stories covering teen Youtubers getting killed doing "pranks in the hood gone wrong", doing a version of that that specifically targets dangerous/deviant individuals will only make things worse.

Then there's just the ugliness of it all. The phone call part of this video was so unbelievably painful to watch - idk how much the girlfriend might have enabled the predator or not but it's just soul-sucking hearing a life get ruined in realtime.

I mean - they're kind of dicks for reporting her if she just didn't report him. God forbid she actually had the empathy to hope he gets better and corrects himself, especially if he told her he was seeking help. Like if he told her he was trying to fix himself and he wasn't actively seeking a meetup, and he told her he got rid of any traces of porn - she was going off of faith, and was obviously wrong but that's not her fault.
Like them reporting her makes me want to straight up beat the shit out of them with baseball bats.

This. Pedophillia is a mental disorder, if he was seeking help and wasn't acting on his disturbed desires like she thought then she's done nothing wrong. Unfortunately, this guy is an asshole and deserves to lose everything and be put away, but thats not on her.

I didn't watch the whole thing. I just watched the phone convo. I still stand by saying if she knew that he was in possession of porn, but had sincerely believed he'd gotten rid of it and was seeking help - which she knew firsthand he was seeing a therapist - I still don't think this should be on her. She can have faith in a person getting better without having to involve others or law enforcement, especially if she thought he had completely changed his ways.
But if he was in possession and was still in possession, and she knew -- or if she knew he'd attempted meetups, then yeah - that'd be different.

Yeah fuck these guys. They're making a serious situation like this into a joke for views on youtube. To catch a predator did this thing right. Law enforcement was on deck and already on board, they didn't involve a ton of regular people and families in a hotel lobby by parading the dude around saying "look at the pedophile, hey pedophile do you want to fuck that person she looks 6!", and they didn't have the pedophile phone their fucking mother/significant other on camera essentially publically humiliating someone doing nothing wrong (girlfriend/pedophiles mother).
