I remember I had what *I* thought were good photos of me on my profile and I wasn't doing too well. At least, I matched with some cute girls, but not the tru tru baabs. And then I went to my brother's wedding and the pro photographer there took some candid pics of me in a suit and I added this to my tinder and boom - insta baddies matching left and right. Like the ones you think are bots, they was matching and chatting. It was like being on boost all the time.

So I guess if I was REALLY lonely I would consider paying a photographer to take some nice pics of me. Because that pic of you in front of the bathroom mirror where you think your jaw looks good...that is not a good pic bros

The key to a good tinder pic:

1. Make sure it's at least 5 years old
2. Have a few with you and your friends to show you know how to speak to people (in theory)
3. Gotta have that vacation pic to make it seem like you're well-traveled
4. For ladies: You MUST have a filter and/or photoshopped curves
5. For guys: Post your height, and no matter how tall you actually are, make sure it's says at least 5'11.

Admittedly though I am in a bit of a compromise phase where I dont really care about looks that much, I guess I actually just want some female friends in my life... But I also want to fuck... I swipe left on a lot of women who look really attractive if there are other clues in the picture that make me think we probably have nothing in common.

Like if she's really glam and every photo is just her at a club with 7 other girls holding a glass of prosecco, I just figure we're not going to enjoy each other's company, even if she's a true babe.

This is basically how real world dating works though. You aren't going to even talk to someone (flirt or whatnot) you aren't attracted to. And it's incumbent upon someone to take care of themselves and look presentable. Looking like shit is the same as having a bad tinder pic.

the big deal with a profile is making it as you as it can possibly be.

for pictures, I generally recommend:
1 headshot
1 full body shot (or at least most of your body)
1 group photo (where it's easy to tell which one you are)
1 photo of you doing something you enjoy

and optionally, a funny picture and a homemade meme
