More to say (due to title limit), can we take a moment to appreciate streaming services for allowing R-rated movies to flourish?

Ever wondered why Netflix originals has so much more R-rated content? This is exactly why.

I think the recent ZSJL is a good example of what lots of blockbuster Hollywood movies could have been if not for the censoring.

Bakc when physical cinemas were the dominant avenue for movies, there were lots of restrictions imposed on R-rated films, like guards actively checking your ID to make sure you're not underaged and being unable to watch with your friends if they were barred. All this affected movie revenue, which is why so many Hollywood blockbuster flicks would rather scale down to PG-13.

But with covid-19 shutdown, most movies have moved to streaming, and as we know, there's no actual enforceable R-rated restriction anymore. I really love this and how streaming has opened a huge gateway for blockbusters to no longer be constrained by censorships, political correctness and appealing to a general-wide audience
