Everyone here is trying to compare the first episode of a TV show to an entire miniseries. There is no comparison to be made. It is set up, but we do not yet know for what. Wait for the show to finish.

this is mostly how I feel. I like that they touch on how heros make money tbh, Im okay with seeing that one fleshed out if it goes that route. I feel like the captain America is a bit predictable but also potentially entertaining so well see.

He asked. Would you say the episode was amazing? Did anything epic happen? No. Nobody's shitting on it, it was objectively "meh".

The opening is superb. After that, it's just introducing the quest, plot if you will. Some back story, characters. Watch the opening, then have it as background noise

It was good.

The opening with Batroc was a great set piece. The rest of it was set-up, so it's a bit hard to judge how the series will be based on what we've seen so far - and it didn't have the wtf hook that WandaVision had immediately - but Mackie and Stan are both incredibly watchable and they nailed their scenes.

While WandaVision had the on-going mystery and the fact that it was literally playing to tropes from episodic shows meaning it leant itself to a weekly release, I'm wondering whether so far TFATWS would be the sort of show more suited to a binge watch all in one drop. Certainly I think the slow burn of episode one meant that starting with a double bill would have been beneficial.

But what we:be had so far was definitely good, and I'm looking forward to next week.
