The oft-overlooked Italian-American equivalent of St. Patrick's Day, which is basically unknown in the U.S. outside of NY, in celebration of Saint Joseph, Jesus's stepdad. Traditionally, it's believed that Saint Joseph ended famine in Italy, so the idea is to give thanks for all the awesome food you get to eat.

You celebrate by cooking a big ol' Italian feast, eating a shit ton, and wearing red. Also you get these super delish pastries called St. Joe's Pastries which are a type of zeppoli filled with custard cream or cannoli cream.

Personally I prefer the custard versions, cuz I ain't the biggest fan of cannolli. (But don't tell my big Italian family that lol)
