I was surprised by how hard he was in MK9, considering the story events that happen right before the battle. >_>

I think Ive beaten him in 2 and 3 but only with unlimited continues lol

The mk2 bosses in the SNES version weee notoriously cheap but there were flaws you could explode.

with Liu kang you could jump backwards towards the end of the stage and and with an air kick over and over, the AI and collision detection would make shao khan rush-tackle you (and miss), block the kick, then rush you again and repeat the process, you would win with chip damage
