Youre dribbling up the court shielding the ball from a defender, you cross half court and establish both feet but whilst both feet are now in the front court youre still dribbling the ball within the backcourt (1 or 2 bounces in the backcourt whilst both feet are in the front court) . Is that a backcourt violation?

Idk because are you considered to have crossed half court with the ball or with both feet?

Btw I liken this to dribbling out of bounds, so even with both feet established you take one dribble outside the lines its an out of bounds violation so itd be the same thing here?

I think the ball has to cross the line in order for it to be a violation.

I dunno. In hockey it's not off sides so long as your stick is currently touching the puck but basketball is goofy as heck so no idea. I think it has to touch the offensive zone before it's a back court violation though
