Got a 5g phone with stimulus money today. 5g became available in my area about a month ago. Not noticing a big difference yet but the phone itself is better than my last one.

Anyone here on 5g yet?

Yeah I've got an iPhone 12 Pro Max on Verizon. It seems a little faster but I don't remember what my speeds were like previously lol

It's pretty quick, but when I did a speed test, someone told me 5g should be faster.
I still think it's pretty fast although my phone is a 4 or 5 years newer so that's probably the majority of the difference I see.

It'll probably be years before I live in 5G coverage, but I'll be insisting on a phone that supports it next time I upgrade (which in practice pretty much means the Redmi Note 9T, as that's the only 5G phone at a price I'd be willing to pay for a phone, of course that might change by the time I actually upgrade) just so that I'm prepared. I made the mistake of not being ready with 4G.
