First time I had the luxury of having someone who spoke Spanish with me but the last time I was on my own and I tripped over myself trying to order the sandwich just the way I wanted to. Depends. If it's in your own country you expect them to know the language however if not you don't. Providing they understand and get my order right I don't care though.

Have a friend write your order in Spanish and just give it to the guy each time. Problem solved.
